During my rotation as a student I was impressed with resident’s knowledge and confidence acting independently. The staff physicians emphasized education and I really enjoyed the overall environment.

The wonderful people I get to work with make residency so much easier!  Specifically, the residents and leadership who are all supportive, friendly, and encouraging throughout the program.

West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine

My favorite about the program:

I choose Geisinger because not only are the people genuine and willing to help you out, but we have unlimited resources. The access to sub-speciality services, the comprehensive care with behavioral health and pharmacy clinics, and ancillary support in clinic truly allows patients to have excellent care.

My favorite about the program:

The culture of trying to improve things rather than finding someone to blame has really made a big difference. It allows me to grow as a person, and as a professional, without the constant shadow of anticipating other's adverse opinions.

My favorite thing about the residency is that the attending physicians, chief residents, and program administration really care about our education as well as our personal wellbeing. They strive to do everything in their power to help us succeed.

The people! A residency program is only as good as the people who create, run, and participate in it. Our program leadership is excellent and constantly work to make our program the best it can be. The camaraderie among the residents is awesome and we're a close-knit bunch.

Our internal medicine residency is resident-driven and offers tremendous support from our leadership. Not only does the faculty act on feedback, but they make it a point to implement changes in the program so that they best shape our careers.

My co-residents, program administration, and faculty! Leadership is incredibly approachable, listens to resident feedback, and creates an environment where we feel supported. The size of our residency also allows our faculty to know each of us on a personal level making them invested not only in our education, but also in our career aspirations.
